An incredible cream chiffon, silk and lace two piece from 1981, bought from the David Fielden store on Fulham Road, London.
The bride in question remembers seeing another 1981 bride on the day she bought her dress - Lady Diana Spencer, parking her car in Knightsbridge. The bride remembers buying her dress before the impending Royal wedding as she was sure that Lady Diana's dress would influence bridal fashion and she wanted to be unique on her big day ( - it certainly did influence 1980s wedding gowns!).
How fabulous is that?
The top has bat wings and intricate pink ribbon detail and can be worn tucked in or out. A silk cami top can be worn underneath (also photographed here).
The skirt is fully lined with a button waistband.
An oyster silk sash can be seen around the waist, again, the outfit can be worn with or without the sash.
